i want to become a singer in a group my friends wont help and i wana sing old timey songs what do i do?

i really want to be a great singer in a great group but like none of
my friends will help so i need a group and i want to sing songs that
like kinda are like the old timey songs if you know what i mean so i
just kinda need help or any advice that anybody might have.
